2020 has been a year of challenges, but it has also been a year of opportunity, resilience, and community. We are thankful for our partners who support us in building a more equitable entrepreneurship ecosystem and our family of entrepreneurs who guide our work.
Last week, we celebrated National Entrepreneurs’ Day as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week by hosting a virtual event with Generation Titans, Black & Brown Founders and Splash Coworking. The event, entitled Decolonizing Capital, explored where traditional vehicles of investment are failing us in well-intentioned, poorly executed prescriptive funding for entrepreneurs without their tacit knowledge. This conversation by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs is at the ethos of protecting their narratives and giving them a platform to represent themselves and own their ability to create solutions. In case you missed it, check out our Advocacy section below to learn more!
We’re also excited to collaborate with Facebook on their Inclusive Leadership Conversations, one of the many discussions developed by Civic Dinners as part of their Inclusive Series with a goal to break down complex issues and develop a deeper understanding of one another. Boost with Facebook’s Community Conversations has adapted the Inclusive Leadership topic for the small business community. Stay tuned for more announcements, but you can learn more here!
