Launch of the ‘Kick’ business education programme for HEA 2015 winners and finalists.
ATHENS, 02 October 2015 – The Athens branch of global business education network, Kick, has commenced the business start-up education courses that it pledged to finalists and winners of the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award (HEA).
In February 2015, Kick (www.kickathens.gr) pledged 10 free places on its intensive six-week business start-up education courses. The ‘Kick’ programme seeks to guide entrepreneurs through the early stages of business creation, equipping participants with the knowledge and insight to create a sustainable business from the outset.
Kick’s contribution is just one of the many from Greek and multinational organisations that have stepped forward to provide support to start-up businesses participating in the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award. Other winners’ supporters include Antidote, Lykourezos Law Offices, Microsoft Hellas, People for Business, Reed Smith, S&Team, and SAP Hellas.
Rebecca Pitsika, CEO of People for Business and Founder of the Kick branch in Athens stated: “We are expanding our partnership with the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award, by offering all HEA finalists business knowledge through the special Kick start-up entrepreneurial program, which is operated in Athens by People for Business. Business knowledge is one of the most important factors in achieving commercial success and we are proud to be extending our support to aspiring entrepreneurs. It is our duty to support sustainable entrepreneurship in Greece and to help establish profitable businesses that create social impact.”
Stavros Sarinas, Director of the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award stated: “We would like to thank Kick for contributing to the support of these promising new companies as they begin their new business journey. This program provides all 10 finalists with much of the knowledge and insight they will need to make their business dreams come true.”
The Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award offers Greece-based entrepreneurs the chance to receive start-up funding, mentorship and free consulting and support for their new business ventures.
The award was founded in 2012 based on the belief that entrepreneurship is key to Greece’s future prosperity, especially during the economic downturn. The HEA, which is managed and funded by the Libra Group on behalf of The Hellenic Initiative, is open to both experienced and budding entrepreneurs, whose business plans exhibit sustainability, innovation and financial prudence, whilst creating jobs predominantly in Greece.
