EVOLVED-5G ACCELERATOR: VIRTUAL DEMO DAY 

14 teams across Europe pitch their business ventures 

Streaming live, investors, startup and SME founders, researchers, and ecosystem stakeholders will engage in interactive panel discussions and form the jury committee. 

13 October 2023 – The EVOLVED-5G Accelerator, is a 5-month acceleration program organized by the EVOLVED-5G Project (https://evolved-5g.eu/) and facilitated by Envolve Entrepreneurship (https://greece.old.envolveglobal.org). The Accelerator supported 24 SMEs and Startups from 12 different countries in the transformation of their products and services, through targeted business workshops, coaching, and featuring case studies from the industry, adapting new digital technologies and 5G applications. On Monday, 16 October, 2023, at 11:00-15:00 CET, the EVOLVED-5G Accelerator Virtual Demo Day  will be held online and streamed live on EVOLVED-5G YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/live/ukoTqm_N95I?feature=share.  

The EVOLVED-5G Accelerator’s Virtual Demo Day, will feature 14 exceptional teams, selected from a total of 24 participants, who will pitch their business ventures. These teams were chosen based on their essential contribution to the acceleration program, their innovative ideas, and their dedication to the program. The teams pitching are Athleton Plus, Averato, Advanced Intelligent Robotics, BE-IN-G, COOP CAMPO, Cumucore, Digizone, Embneusys, HeadsApp, Ivoluntry, Knoddo, Link Robotics, ViZmerald, and WAN-AI.  

The Demo Day will feature panel discussions and guest speakers, including Alexandros Nousias, Director of Envolve Entrepreneurship, Javier Garcia Rodrigo, EU Portfolio and Contracts Manager at Telefonica, George Dimopoulos, Partner at Venture Friends VC, David Artuñedo Guillen, Future Networks Lab Manager at Telefonica, Harilaos Koumaras, Computer Science and Telecom Research Assistant Professor at NCSR Demokritos, George Makropoulos, R&D Telecom Engineer at NCSR Demokritos, Dimitris Tsolkas, Research and Development Manager at Fogus Innovations & Services P.C., Leon Gavalas, Founder of .bespot, Eirini Liotou, Electrical and Computer Engineer, Project Manager, Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Science, Claire Visser, Innovation and Business Developer at TU Delft, Maria Gabriella Anagnostopoulos, Chief Operating Officer of Envolve, Konstantinos Kissas, Business Development Manager at Envolve, who will cover topics such as “Tech Investing: Trends & Opportunities”, “Network Applications: Challenges & Opportunities for SMEs” and “The Future of Business”. 

The 14 teams will be evaluated by a 9-member jury, comprised of distinguished individuals, including Javier Garcia Rodrigo, EU Portfolio and Contracts Manager at Telefonica, Harilaos Koumaras, Computer Science and Telecom Research Assistant Professor at NCSR Demokritos, George Makropoulos, R&D Telecom Engineer at NCSR Demokritos, Dimitris Tsolkas, Research and Development Manager at Fogus Innovations & Services P.C., Vaios Koumaras, Managing Director at Infolysis P.C., Jaka Cijan, Co-Founder and Lead Developer of Internet Insitute, Ivano Manfredonia, Project Manager for Grants and R&I Activities at UM Autonomus Systems UNMANNED Life, George Kanterakis, Research & Innovation GMI AERO, and Eirini Liotou, Electrical and Computer Engineer, Project Manager, Researcher at the Institute of Communication and Computer Science, who will evaluate and provide valuable insights. 

The Demo Day is organized by the EVOLVED-5G Project with the Community Partnership of 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA) and offers an excellent opportunity for participants to gain a deeper understanding of the EVOLVED-5G Accelerator and to learn more about its initiatives. 

Through a capacity-building initiative, the EVOLVED-5G Project consortium offers comprehensive support to its 24 participants spanning across 12 different countries. This support includes training sessions, advanced business guidance, coaching on potential funding opportunities, technical expertise, and the facilitation of valuable business connections. The goal is to empower these ventures to thrive and expand their presence within the European Union. The EVOLVED-5G Project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.

About the EVOLVED-5G Project
