– On April 25th, a free online workshop with special guest Julia Koerner, an award-winning Austrian designer.

April 12th, 2023 – HackThatFashion (https://hackthatfashion.eu), co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union promotes the sustainable and digital transition of the fashion industry. Over its two-year duration, the project will offer a free support programme consisting of hands-on tools, workshops and hackathons for fashion brands, designers, startups and SMEs that are in the early stages of defining their business models. HackThatFashion introduces 15 tools for the digital transition of European fashion brands.

On April 25th, 2023 at 17:00-18:30 CET, HackThatFashion organises its second capacity-building activity. Keynote speaker of the event is Julia Koerner, an award-winning Austrian designer working at the convergence of architecture, product and fashion design, specialized in 3D-printing. She is founder of JK Design and the JK3D brand and is a faculty member at UCLA. Her recent collaborations include 3D-Printed Haute Couture and Academy Award winning costumes for Hollywood blockbuster Black Panther and Wakanda Forever.

In this online workshop, participants will learn more about the HackThatFashion project and how they can benefit from it, as well as join a collaborative session in which they can acquire and test different tools for their digital transformation, curated by HackThatFashion. This set of 15 different tools apply the 4 steps of Design Thinking (Understand, Define, Make, Release) and will provide intuitive exercises for fashion enterprises to further integrate design methodology for their digital transition.
