THE HELLENIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD AND THE CENTER OF SUSTAINABLE ENTREPRENEURSHIP EXCELIXI RUN BUSINESS START-UP ADVISORY EVENT IN ATHENS

ATHENS, 27 January 2015 – As budding Greek entrepreneurs work on their submissions for the 2016 award, the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award (HEA) in partnership with the Center of Sustainable Entrepreneurship Excelixi has announced the annual business start-up advisory seminar  “Start up: It’s Launch time”, which will take place on 3 February 2016 at the Excelixi Convention Center in Nea Erythrea, Athens. The aim of the seminar is to help entrepreneurs learn the secrets of creating a compelling business plan from business start-up experts. Participants will be able to exchange ideas and concerns with seasoned entrepreneurs. HEA executives will also be present to provide guidance on application for the 2016 award which this year features increased prize funding of € 1,250,000 to be shared by up to five winners. The Centre for Sustainable Entrepreneurship Excelixi is the venue sponsor of the competition, for the third consecutive year and member of Piraeus Bank Group, providing educational programs and consulting services to effectively support sustainable entrepreneurship in Greece.

Representatives of the Greek start-up community, as well as executives from Excelixi and the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award will share their experience and insight, focusing on what a business idea needs to get noticed and attract funding, support and investment partners. Winners of previous HEA contests (Yoleni’s, Smart Guide, Heliix, RT safe) will also be present to share experiences, especially the challenges they faced in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journeys.

Applications for the Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award continue

The 2016 Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award had a strong start with increased participation. Less than two months remain until the contest’s deadline.

For the fourth consecutive year, experienced and budding entrepreneurs can submit their business idea by March 10, 2016 via HEA’s website (www.hellenicaward.com). Winners will receive interest free funding of up to € 1,250,000, mentorship and a wide range of business support services including legal, accounting, marketing, IT, communication and HR.

About The Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award:

The Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award was founded in 2012, to support established and budding entrepreneurs by providing funding, support services and mentorship for start-up businesses.
